We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** **BIM/CAD Modelling Technician** **Abu Dhabi, UAE** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Modelling Technician to join our team! In this role, you will get to work on cutting-edge infrastructure projects. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Utilize a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures. + Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies. Become familiar with various standards and codes such as ANSI, PFI, and ASME. + Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. + Understand how to read orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings. + Ability to create precise and accurate drawings, ensuring all measurements, annotations, and specifications are correct + Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment, as CAD drafting often involves coordination with other professionals + Familiarity with general computer operations, file management, and other software tools like Microsoft Office or project management platforms + Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively, especially when working on multiple projects + Capability to troubleshoot design issues and propose solutions to meet project requirements **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Diploma in Civil Engineering/drafting is mandatory. + Minimum five years demonstrable experience in drafting and CAD experience on infrastructure projects. + Some experience in BIM processes and software. + Fluent in English both written and spoken with good capability in oral and written communication skills. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Prepare Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Center (ITC) circulation plans and drawings according to ITC standards to secure approvals.
