Billing Supervisor/Manager
Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Supervisor/Manager to oversee medical billing processes and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of claims management operations. Based in Asheville, North Carolina, this role requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with expertise in medical billing, appeals handling, and insurance claims management. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational abilities and a commitment to maintaining compliance and precision in all billing activities. Responsibilities: • Oversee the resolution of insurance denials, ensuring timely action within contractual deadlines. • Manage the full appeals process, including initiation, tracking, monitoring, and documenting results. • Prepare and submit detailed documentation for appeals while maintaining organized and secure records. • Independently analyze and address insurance denials and requests for additional information. • Perform daily accounts receivable functions, including correcting and re-submitting denied claims. • Research and resolve denied claims and insurance refund requests to optimize reimbursement. • Ensure compliance with medical billing regulations and guidelines throughout all operations. • Monitor billing activities to identify and address inefficiencies or discrepancies. • Collaborate with providers and insurance networks to streamline billing processes and resolve issues. • Train and support team members in best practices for medical billing and claims resolution. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing, appeals, and claims management. • Proficiency in handling complex calculations and resolving medical collections. • Strong knowledge of insurance protocols and provider network operations. • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. • Proven ability to investigate and resolve denied claims efficiently. • Familiarity with medical billing software and tools. • Commitment to maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and collaboration.
