ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing with the skills necessary to improve our current billing procedures and reduce Account Receivable / AR days. The Medical Biller will be responsible for submitting billing data to commercial payors for home health services. The successful candidate will also perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers in a timely fashion. Additional tasks will include working claims and claim denials to ensure maximum reimbursement for services provided. The successful applicant with work on various tasks requiring data analysis, in-depth evaluation, and exercising judgment within the appropriate scope of practice.
Qualifications Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; work experience in lieu of education will be consideredMinimum of two (2) plus years of home health revenue cycle experience requiredUnderstanding of commercial payor billing / recovery, HIPAA and compliance related guidelinesProficiency with electronic medical records / EMR – MatrixCare experience a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and OutlookAccurate numeric/alphanumeric data-entry skills and attention-to-detailAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environmentAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment About our Line of Business Adoration Home Health and Hospice, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides quality and compassionate services in the comfort of home, providing support for patients, families, and caregivers in their time of need.
