Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Billing Rep, you will help our patients and providers streamline the billing and insurance process so they can focus on patient care and financial well-being.

Every day you will review and process patient accounts, insurance claims, and payment postings. You will be expected to ensure accurate and timely billing, follow up on denied claims, and maintain patient confidentiality.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical billing and coding, and experience with healthcare insurance.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of your role as an Accounts Receivable Representative IIRead & interpret invoice details Patient registration in IDX Rejection posting in IDX Knowledge of medical records systems Ability to navigate Insurance payer web sites Read & interpret EOB's from various insurance carriers FSC knowledge Rules of FSC Flipping Rules of Charge CorrectionsUnderstanding of claim editsResolve claim editsAbility to manage multiple expectations, tasks and deadlines effectively.Timely review of electronic communication to stay informed of changes that affect your positionResearch and analyze account thoroughly to determine appropriate action(s) to be takenProactively organize and manage case load to ensure follow through on claims that did not reach resolution at time of initial processing
Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED 3 years experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical OfficeRequires:Knowledge of physician billing regulationsUnderstanding of professional claims and billing proceduresKnowledge of Federal and State regulations applicable to Government and Insurance CollectionsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of computers and demonstrated proficiency in using e-mail systems, Internet, and MS office software applications, with emphasis in Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

Associates Other Healthcare Administration or related field 5 years experience working in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office1 year experience with IDX Practice management system and Cerner EHRKnowledge of: physician billing regulationsm professional claims and billing procedures, and Google SuiteWhere You'll Work
