Billing Manager
Billing Manager Job Description We are searching for a Billing Manager to lead our client's billing operations and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue cycle management. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of billing processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial analysis, while maintaining compliance with industry standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act). Responsibilities + Manage end-to-end billing processes across multiple departments, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing and collections. + Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including account reconciliation and journal entries. + Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to process transactions and generate reports. + Utilize the Service Titan Platform to manage daily operations of technicians and project cost workloads. + Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and SOX controls during financial reporting and audit preparations. + Conduct analysis of revenue cycle metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve billing discrepancies, negotiate payment plans, and enhance customer service experiences. + Maintain detailed documentation of all billing activities, account analysis, and audit trails for transparency and regulatory compliance. + Lead training sessions on technical accounting practices, data entry accuracy, and new software implementations to ensure team proficiency. Essential Skills + Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing systems. + Proficiency in reconciliation, month-end and year-end closings, and compliance. + Experience with billing/accounting systems and transitioning teams to new platforms. + Ability to prioritize, learn new systems, and lead billing operations with the current team. + Strong knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation techniques. + Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or equivalent financial systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in public or corporate accounting roles focusing on billing management or revenue cycle operations within the construction industry. + Previous experience with a Mechanical Contractor is preferred. + Familiarity with Service Titan is preferred. + Understanding of governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. + Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data accurately to support decision-making. + Excellent negotiation skills combined with effective phone etiquette for resolving disputes or payment issues. + Strong organizational skills with proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks. + Knowledge of revenue cycle management principles within Construction or Services sectors is highly desirable. Work Environment The position is fully on-site, working Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Verona, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
