You’ll join their centralized billing function to keep timekeeping, invoicing, trust accounting, and reporting running smoothly at scale.
\nWhy does this role exist?The firm is expanding and needs a dedicated Billing Coordinator to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant billing across a high volume of matters. This role will reduce administrative burden for attorneys, safeguard trust (IOLTA) compliance, and improve cash flow through disciplined billing, reconciliations, and follow-ups. You’ll be a key partner to attorneys and operations, keeping the billing cycle efficient and audit-ready.
The Impact you’ll makeBilling Operations & Attorney Support\nFollow up with attorneys for prospective client activity reports\nConduct attorney bill reviews and update bills as needed\nInput and audit attorney time in Clio\nExecute high-volume monthly bill runs\nExpense & Fee Processing\nEnter and process client expenses\nEnter attorney expenses\nProcess individual service fees (e.g., Clio Payments/LawPay)\nTrust Accounting & Compliance (IOLTA)\nDisburse IOLTA funds to clients in accordance with policies\nAdminister trust requests and follow up with check requests\nMaintain accurate trust records and support compliance reviews\nReconciliations & Cash Management\nPerform general ledger reconciliations\nHandle daily deposits and reconcile daily receipts correspondence\nCoordinate with banking platforms for timely posting and issue resolution\nReporting, Commissions & Communication\nCalculate attorney commissions and payouts\nAssist with KPI reports and billing dashboards\nProvide professional client communication and interaction via email/phone\n
