Billing Coordinator

This role involves managing the daily physician billing process to ensure accurate and timely billing. The billing coordinator will act as a liaison for billing-related questions from patients, physicians, and internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and resolution.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily physician billing process with precision and efficiency.Serve as a liaison for billing-related inquiries from patients, physicians, and internal stakeholders.Review billing documentation for accuracy, including CPT and ICD codes.Ensure billing information matches patient demographics and insurance authorizations.Prepare, batch, and submit billing information to billing entities.Follow up on missing charges and collaborate with leadership when necessary.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance plans, payer rules, and reimbursement requirements.Prepare billing quotes for international patients as needed.Provide general administrative support, including faxing, filing, and ad hoc projects.

Essential Skills

Previous medical billing experience.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to explain insurance and billing information clearly to patients and providers.High level of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding.Experience working across multiple offices or departments.Spanish language skills are a plus.

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite, five days per week in an office-based environment. You will have the opportunity to work with a new unit in a rapidly growing company, offering numerous growth opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
