We are currently seeking a Billing Coordinator to join our team at a leading law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual with experience in legal or professional billing services. This opportunity is available in Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal.

Key Responsibilities
The Billing Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of billing tasks, including but not limited to:Preparing final billings on a monthly, quarterly, or on-request basis, including:Processing and editing pre-billsInputting changes to pre-bills in IP Progress/CMSFinalizing and posting pre-billsPreparing final bills for lawyer review and approvalSubmitting final bills to clients or coordinating with the E-billing teamTransferring and deleting time and disbursements in accordance with lawyer instructions and firm billing policiesMonitoring and reviewing billing systems to ensure client data is accurate and up to dateTraining new hires on billing procedures and systemsProviding backup support to other Practice Group Billing Coordinators as neededPerforming other duties as assignedKey Competencies3+ years of relevant experience in billing/accounting within a law firm or professional services environment, ideally with exposure to IP lawSolid understanding of accounting principles and billing proceduresStrong knowledge of E-billing systems, processes, and technical requirementsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe AcrobatExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsBilingualism in French and English (oral and written) is considered a strong assetWillingness to work overtime during the month-end and year-end as required
