Billing Analyst
Billing Analyst Job Description As a Billing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer invoices. You will be responsible for enhancing billing processes, entering and updating customer contracts, and maintaining compliance with GAAP internal controls. Your expertise will support audit processes and foster a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities + Process and send customer invoices accurately and timely. + Identify leading practices and improve processes overall. + Submit invoices in customers’ online billing systems and prepare customer-specific invoice support. + Generate customer credit memos and subsequent re-bills. + Communicate interdepartmentally and with external customers to review and resolve invoice-related inquiries. + Enter new and renewal customer contracts into ERP System and update contract information in Salesforce as needed. + Assist in maintaining customer contract files in an organized manner and track contract details. + Reconcile invoice data to ensure accuracy of revenue. + Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation. + Prepare schedules and provide information to support audits. + Ensure compliance with GAAP internal controls. + Perform ad hoc projects and analysis. + Provide guidance and support to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment. + Collaborate with the venue and corporate accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting. Essential Skills + 4+ years of Accounts Receivable experience specifically with Billing customers. + Advanced Excel skills, including heavy spreadsheet work. + Proficiency in reconciliation, accounting, invoicing, and billing systems. + Experience with Dynamics, Dynamics 365, D365, Dynamics AX, and general ledger. + Strong knowledge of GAAP. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5+ years of experience in an accounting role focused on Accounts Receivable and billing of clients. + Ability to perform complex functions in Excel. + Experience in bank and account reconciliation. + Ability to recommend process enhancements to improve department efficiencies and enhance accuracy and control over the billing process. Work Environment The schedule requires onsite work from Monday to Thursday and remote work on Fridays, from 9 am to 5 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norwalk, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $41.00/hr.
