Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario Pullman Shared Services team is growing! If you are an analytical and collaborative professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for your career, this position is for you.

The Project Accountant is located in Scarborough and typically reports directly to the Regional Controller. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Compare actuals to budget and forecasted costs, update monthly and quarterly job reports.Review and assist with the reconciliation of purchase ordersAssist with monthly job forecast updates and entering productivity dataCode and reconcile payments within JD EdwardsPrepare and issue accurate customer invoices, follow up on client approvals Prepare documentation to support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities Demonstrate a self-staring approach with a high level of accuracy Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER

Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is preferred.1–3 years’ experience in billing, project accounting, or similar accounting roles.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Basic understanding of end-to-end financial processesAdvanced Excel skills is essentialExperience with JD Edwards is considered an assetExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills

The expected salary range for this role is between $58,000 - $75,000 per year. The starting salary will be determined based on several factors such as the successful candidate’s qualifications, including but not limited to education and experience. Base pay is one component of Black & McDonald’s total rewards package. Total rewards vary by position and may include additional offerings such as group insurance benefits, pension plan, annual discretionary bonus, career development programs, and other HR programs.
