Billing Analyst
Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Analyst to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is essential for ensuring accurate and efficient client invoicing, financial reconciliation, and maintaining compliance with billing standards. The ideal candidate will collaborate across departments to enhance billing processes and support organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Prepare, review, and submit client invoices in alignment with billing guidelines, contractual agreements, and jurisdictional requirements. • Reconcile billing data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in partnership with Finance and Client Services teams. • Assist in configuring and maintaining client billing profiles, including rate structures, matter codes, and specific billing instructions. • Provide billing data and reports to support month-end and year-end close processes. • Collaborate with Finance, Legal Operations, and Client Services teams to align billing practices with strategic priorities and service standards. • Train and onboard new team members and end-users on billing systems to promote consistent usage and understanding. • Work with Technology teams to support enhancements, integrations, and data quality initiatives within billing systems. • Document billing processes, procedures, and client-specific requirements to ensure compliance and operational consistency. • Generate billing-related reports and dashboards to assist with financial analysis, forecasting, and decision-making. • Contribute to process improvement efforts to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and enhance client satisfaction. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. • Proven experience in billing, finance operations, or a related field, ideally within a detail-oriented services or legal environment. • Solid knowledge of billing procedures, invoicing systems, and financial reconciliation methods. • Familiarity with financial systems and billing software such as Aderant, Elite, and NetSuite. • Proficiency in billing functions and accounts receivable processes. • Strong customer service skills with a focus on resolving billing inquiries and discrepancies. • Ability to analyze data and recommend improvements to billing systems and workflows. • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to billing technologies and detail-oriented services operations.
