Job Description:
Group Disability Learning and Development Training Manager
As our Group Disability Learning and Development Training Manager, you'll lead a team of Trainers to deliver innovative, data-driven training solutions for our Payment and Claims Establishment teams across the country. Your role will focus on three key areas:
1. Strategic Client Partnership and Program Innovation (40%)
- Collaborate with operations partners to understand and align training needs with business objectives
- Develop and implement data-driven training strategies, leveraging analytics to demonstrate ROI
- Create and maintain performance dashboards using tools like Tableau
- Research and implement innovative training methods, including simulation-based training and microlearning
- Ensure training programs adhere to insurance industry regulations and compliance requirements
2. Team Leadership and Development (30%)
- Coach and mentor trainers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data-informed decision-making
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback
- Lead the team in adopting new technologies and industry best practices
- Collaborate with operations managers to ensure training aligns with evolving business needs
- Present training impact and value to senior leadership using data-driven insights
3. Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement (30%)
- Develop and update skill-based training materials for insurance operations
- Implement training effectiveness metrics and correlate outcomes with operational KPIs
- Oversea the maintenance and improvement of training environments, including LMS and other digital learning platforms
- Manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality
- Continuously analyze and optimize training processes for maximum efficiency
What we're looking for:
- 4+ years of leadership experience in training or education within the insurance industry
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau)
- Experience in creating and maintaining performance dashboards
- Proven track record of using data to drive training improvements and demonstrate ROI
- Extensive knowledge of adult learning principles and corporate learning strategies
- Experience with simulation-based training and microlearning approaches
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and e-learning authoring tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Additional assets:
- Familiarity with disability insurance payment administration and claims set up processes
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Captivate
- As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Certificate in Adult Learning, Human Resources, or related field (preferred)

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
