JOB SUMMARY Under the general supervision of a Speech and Language Pathologist or Program Specialist, the Speech and Language Pathology Assistant will perform services and consultation with teachers at a school site, provide activities designed to develop language skills and articulation skills, including speech production, vocalization and social pragmatics in students with speech/language disorders. Other duties may include administrative work, meetings, and collaborations with staff and parents. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Conduct speech-language screenings using a variety of screening tools and techniques Follow documented therapy plans Support the SLP with contacting families to arrange IEP meetings. Document student progress in IEP system Prepare therapy materials for use in pullout small group setting or in classroom setting Adapt or modify instructional materials as determined by student need and abilities for teacher-use in the classroom
