Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Lake Villa, IL Location: Lake Villa, IL Pay Rate: $77.50 per hour Schedule: Up to 1.0 FTE (flexible; minimum .4 FTE considered) Setting: School-Based Modality: Onsite preferred; remote considered Position Overview The Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for evaluating and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders within an educational environment. Key responsibilities include conducting bilingual evaluations (Spanish), developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy services, and completing all required documentation in alignment with professional and regulatory standards. The role includes an estimated bilingual evaluation caseload of approximately 35–40 students. Standard school-day hours generally run from approximately 7:40 a.m.–3:15 p.m. Key Responsibilities + Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, including bilingual assessments when required. + Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and physician orders. + Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress. + Complete accurate, timely documentation following all applicable guidelines and requirements. + Collaborate with educators, support staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams. + Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and evaluation reporting. + Maintain compliance with all professional, state, federal, and contractual standards. Minimum Requirements + Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Illinois. + Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish) required. + Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required depending on contract specifications. + Current CPR certification, if applicable. + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable. + Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulations). + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. + Must be at least 18 years of age. Position Details + Flexible FTE availability: full-time or part-time (.4 FTE minimum). + Responsibilities include bilingual evaluations and therapy services for school-age student populations. + Remote candidates may be considered depending on program needs and evaluation requirements.
