Job Title: Bilingual Patient Navigator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Patient Navigator to join our team. This role involves working closely with patients and clinicians to set up referrals to other specialties and performing various back-office tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong healthcare experience and be fluent in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients, assisting them in accessing services promptly.Answer telephones, provide information to callers, route calls appropriately, and take clear messages to promote effective communication.Maintain patient charts, records, clinic logs, and databases in the health center.Manage appointment books, schedule patient and medical/dental appointments, and ensure smooth patient flow and customer satisfaction.Request and verify demographic and insurance information, including authorization and precertification.Organize meetings by arranging appropriate equipment and refreshments as needed.Initiate follow-up calls and gather necessary information for meetings to ensure organization.File and scan documents to maintain complete patient and office operation records.Perform patient registration and billing duties in the absence of other staff.Audit office supplies and inventory monthly, document needs, and order necessary supplies.Contact and complete work orders for the IT and facilities department.Assist in distributing surveys and assessments.Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude during interactions with patients and guests.Be on call for dental patients, transferring calls to appropriate providers when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned by the Front Office Coordinator and Health Center Manager.Update MSDS book and Q.A. manual.

Essential Skills

Bilingual in Spanish.Associate's Degree or Business Institute Certificate.Two years of prior administrative or executive assistant experience preferred.Exposure to or experience with medical terminology and physician billing practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated computer skills, including typing.Ability to handle multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Reception or front desk experience (2+ years).Experience in healthcare settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwich, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
