Job Description:

At Sun Life, our clients are at the centre of everything we do. As a licensed Bilingual Financial Services Consultant (FSC); Insurance Rollover your work will directly contribute to our mission of helping clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives. 

As a member of our Client Services team.

What you will have to do:

Support Sun Life clients with their insurance needs by speaking with clients over the phone / video and providing recommendations that meet their needs. 

Receive inbound calls and transferred sales leads (no cold calling) from Sun Life’s Group Benefits members who are leaving their employer benefit plan and want to convert their health and dental, life insurance and/or critical illness benefits to an individual plan.

Provide consultation to members by reviewing their options and recommending solutions that are aligned to their needs and help them through a period of transition.

Contribute to sales targets by meeting or exceeding objectives. 

What you need to succeed:

Valid and active Life Insurance License (LLQP)

Minimum of 2 -3 years of related sales experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Minimum of 2-3 years of sales / service experience is required.

Completion or a college or university degree or equivalent related experience

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)

Ability to quickly build rapport and relationships with clients over the phone / video conferencing

Effective listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions to understand needs

Self motivated and have the ability to work independently

Certified Employee Benefit Specialist Program (CEBs) -an asset

Experience selling insurance products over the phone is an asset.

Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.

Specific Schedule:

Our Client Service Centre takes calls from clients between the hours of 8 AM to 8 PM.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
