A Bilingual Customer Research & Analytics Analyst is responsible in performing web-based research on technology driven corporations and institutions and in validating and quality-assuring patent data by assigning patents to their accurate commercial owners and verifying their legal validity and remaining lifetime. PatentSight’s superior datasets allow customers to unveil valuable patent insights and see clearly who wields commercial power over the inventions that underpin promising patents.

Accountabilities:

Primarily responsible for processing companies which patent records/ information are in JapaneseActs as Japanese Expert who is responsible in providing answers to Japanese-related patent questions coming from the Harmonization Team Data Quality – Conduct in-depth internet research to achieve data quality in patents globally with additional focus on identifying, understanding, and accurately processing Japanese documents/ information Identify patent ownership based on extensive research on corporate structure, M&A, Spin-offs, company name changes, and patent transactions Conduct quality control measures to ensure data is highly accurate and reliable Responsible for validating, updating and verifying customer information in the Harmonizer Tool Ensure updates or changes in customer database are accurate and are meeting quality standards Meet or exceed productivity targets that are based on efficiency (Target of processing time per customer may vary depending on the type of process and portfolio size) Identify future process improvements to further improve team or individual performance Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and team members to foster collaboration  Ensure data standards and SLAs are met Communicate effectively on the status of tasks and projects in progress 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree holderIntermediate to Advanced reading and writing proficiency in Japanese (Nihongo)Experience in research, data quality and analysis (preferably as Bilingual analyst)Strong verbal and written proficiency in EnglishStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams consisting of US and International-based employees, as well as customer resources in multiple locations and time zonesAbility to provide detailed information and along with the ability to summarize effectively for managementAbility to work under pressure and within an environment of constant change
