Customer Support Representative

Join our Customer Support team and help people navigate energy‑efficiency programs, resolve questions, and get the support they need. If you’re a calm problem‑solver who loves helping others and thrives in a fast‑paced environment, we’d love to meet you.
What you’ll do
+ Handle inbound calls with empathy and efficiency; document all interactions in our systems.
+ Work across multiple phone lines and applications; transfer and route calls as needed.
+ Promote energy‑efficiency programs and identify eligibility for customers.
+ Resolve inquiries about products, services, billing, applications, and rebate checks.
+ Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure timely, accurate outcomes.
+ Support the team—assist Program Managers, Energy Engineers, and Energy Advisors.
+ Communicate across channels (phone, email, chat/alternative media) to meet customers where they are.
+ Schedule appointments, conduct surveys, and share program offerings with qualifying customers.
+ Log data meticulously to maintain an up‑to‑date customer database.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement by offering recommendations to address complaints and enhance service.
+ Show up reliably—attendance and punctuality are essential.
What you bring
+ 1–2 years of customer service (call center or customer support experience a plus).
+ Strong communication skills—clear, professional, and empathetic.
+ Detail‑oriented, organized self‑starter who can prioritize in a fast‑paced setting.
+ Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to analyze information and resolve practical issues.
+ Math comfort (fractions, percentages, ratios) for everyday customer scenarios.
+ Tech‑savvy: proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; accurate data entry in tracking systems/databases.
+ Team player who builds positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
Nice to have
+ High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
+ Knowledge of program parameters and service levels for energy‑efficiency offerings.
+ Experience identifying and resolving project application issues with customers and trade allies.
Schedule & work environment
+ Fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment with clear goals and supportive leadership.
+ Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm CST

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
