YOUR DAILY LIFE
As Technical Bid Manager with a strong software expertise, you will be responsible for leading and managing the technical aspects of our bids.
You should have in-depth knowledge of software development, enabling you to take ownership of the technical bid content and significantly reduce the time and effort our developers spend on bid preparation. You will work closely with sales, project management, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality proposals that increase the company’s chances of winning contracts while optimizing resource use.
More specifically, your main missions will be to:
Organize and lead the preparation of technical elements of bids, from initial review to final submission. Create and maintain a realistic schedule to drive activities.
Analyze tender specifications and identify technical requirements, risks, and opportunities.
In the role of Product Owner, and with the support of the technical team, lead the design and development plan of the proposed solution.
Maintain clear and consistent communication between all bid stakeholders (Bid Manager, Sales and Business Development, Engineering team) to align technical and commercial proposals.
Align the definition of the solution with the company product strategy, seeking for the right combination between industrial efficiency, opportunity for new developments enriching product lines, and innovation.
Produce a reliable baseline cost data (Estimate Pack) for the proposed solution.
Build and write the technical and programmatic sections of bids with the support of engineering teams and in close coordination with bid Managers.
Coordinate input from developers and technical experts, minimizing disruption to ongoing projects.
Ensure all deliverables are accurate, complete, answering to customer requirements, consistent with the bid strategy and submitted in due time.
Represent the company in technical negotiations with the customer.
Collect input on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Seek for continuous improvement. Implement best practices in bid preparation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase win rates.
Maintain and update a library of reusable technical content and templates for bids.
YOUR PROFILE
You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software or a related technical field with a proven experience as a Software Product Owner, able to work with a variety stakeholders and to define a solution in line with customer needs, technically feasible, and
consistent with the company product strategy ?
You have :
Strong knowledge of software system design, including cloud technologies (Kubernetes,Azure, Docker), communication protocols (REST, RPC, message queuing,…), and software architecture principles (microservices, event-driven,…), enabling seamless collaboration with technical teams.
Deep understanding of software development practices, including front-end frameworks and build systems (Angular/React/SolidJS, Vite/Webpack), and back-end technologies (NodeJS, Go, Rust, Python), fostering effective collaboration with development teams.
Strong acumen in AI (LLM, Foundation Models), and cybersecurity concepts (IAM, RBAC, API Gateway, TLS), ensuring the ability to engage with engineering and delivery teams.
Experience in technical bid or project management, or a similar role within the software and digital industry.
Understanding of bid processes (RFP, RFQ etc) and proposal compliance.
Proficiency with tools for work organization (e.g., Jira), scheduling, risk analysis, etc.
Excellent technical writing skills and complete proficiency in English.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Delivery and results-oriented, able to work with limited supervision and committed to meeting deadlines.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and maintaining composure under business pressure.
