At PwC Ireland, we’re looking for a strategic and motivated Bid Manager to join our Business Development team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll manage firmwide pursuits and proposals. You will help shape how we present our value to clients and help win high value work. As a Bid Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the pursuit process across the firm. You’ll coordinate cross- functional teams to deliver high-quality client-focused proposals that meet PwC’s standards and client requirements.
The Bid Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality outputs and deliverables and engagement from the Bid Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage the full bid and pitch lifecycle from initial planning through to submission and post bid reviews/ feedback. You will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
Proposal Development: Work collaboratively with partners, directors, and subject matter experts to drive high-quality proposals that address client needs and showcase PwC’s capabilities.
Rigour and Cadence: Drive the bid process with rigour and cadence, maintaining momentum and focus ensuring bids meet internal guidelines, maintaining accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Team Engagement: Promote and manage engagement from the bid team, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment that drives momentum and quality outputs.
Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the firm, including sector leaders, partners, bid leads, design teams, etc.
Strategy: Contribute to bid strategy discussions to tailor offerings and creative competitive insights.
Design and Print Coordination: Work with design and print teams to deliver high-quality digital and print assets.
Document Review: Review and proof documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Session Facilitation: Support the Pursuit Coach in facilitating sessions as required and capturing and disseminating actions as part of the pursuit process.
Client Research: Conduct research on client decision-makers and gather previous feedback on accounts.
Salesforce Updates: Ensure opportunities are updated on Salesforce, maintaining accurate and current records.
Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices for bid management, leveraging feedback for continuous process enhancements.
Brand Ambassador: Champion PwC’s brand standards across all proposal materials ensuring consistency in tone, style and presentation.
Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APMP) is desirable.
Minimum 6-7yrs experience in bid management, proposal writing, or related roles, ideally within professional services or corporate environment
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure
Deep understanding of business development strategies and processes within a large firm or corporate environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey complex ideas succinctly to different audiences.
Highly organised, with a strong focus on process and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities and proactive mindset
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Skilled in prioritising tasks and managing competing deadlines in fast- paced environment.
Collaborative team player who builds strong relationships across teams and functions
Demonstrates professionalism, integrity and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
