BI Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to develop, manage, and maintain BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves analyzing complex data sets, creating automated reports and dashboards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity, optimize reporting processes, and contribute to the design and implementation of BI tools that drive operational efficiency and strategic planning. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:** + Develop and manage BI solutions. + Provide reports, processes, and Excel VBA applications through the application life cycle. + Collaborate with business users. + Analyse business processes and requirements. + Create and maintain documentation, including requirements, design, and user manuals. + Identify areas to improve system efficiency and reporting accuracy. + Understand business requirements and convert them to technical specifications. + Participate in analysis, design, and architecture of business intelligence applications. + Analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to the company’s operation and performance. + Designing and implementing business intelligence tools or systems, including the selection of technologies and design of infrastructure. + Integrate business intelligence data from various sources to provide comprehensive reporting. + Generate and deliver business reports to management and stakeholders. + Develop strategies, plans, and procedures for the collection and analysis of data. + Assist management in making data-driven decisions. + Collaborate with various teams (IT, Sales, Marketing, Finance, etc.) to implement strategies and monitor outcomes. + Ensure data quality and integrity in databases. + Identify and troubleshoot data-related issues and support data governance initiatives. + Perform regular maintenance/updates to existing reports and dashboards. **Education and Experience:** **Required:** + Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. + Experience with BI technologies (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Cognos, PowerBI). + Experience in database management/operations in cloud (Azure/Google/Oracle) (e.g., Hydoop, Synapse, Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, Informix). + In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP), and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework. + Experience with programming tools (python), SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
