House Bill (HB) 22-1303 has authorized new beds to be used for persons needing residential services at a less restrictive level of care and to reduce and eliminate the backlog of such persons in more restrictive settings. The bill also requires that the department renovate a building at the mental health hospital at Fort Logan to create at least 16 additional civil beds for such persons.
