A day in the life.

As an Benefits Specialist, you will:

Answering incoming calls and respond to client’s emails.Serves as a client contact for day-to-day needs and answers standard client questions to improve the client experience.Manages and records all activities in the workflow system to ensure timely follow up by client, carriers and client team.Complete assigned weekly client group eligibility reports.Troubleshoot assigned issues arising in day-to-day operations of client accounts.Completion of assigned audits of client accounts and research discrepancies.Management of client group eligibility through the online benefits enrollment system.Processing and data entry of client qualifying events, newly hired employees, terminations, and evidences of insurability as required by the client’s scope of services.Administration of clients’ annual open enrollment.Assist with other department responsibilities as needed.

Minimum of high school diploma is required.Excellent organizational and customer service skills.Must be able to integrate seamlessly into a working team environment.Must be able to multitask.Must be detail oriented.Must be able to self-check for accuracy.Effective and clear communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent computer skills to include intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.Previous experience in benefits insurance, human resources, or a related fieldExperience with an online benefits enrollment platform preferred.Current Life & Health insurance licenseA shared commitment to company values; Integrity, Collaboration, Passion, Innovation, Accountability.Must obtain Life and Health Insurance license within first 90 days of employment.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $33,300 to $60,700.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
