Description
We are looking for a Benefits & Retirement Specialist to join our team in Norwalk, Connecticut. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing pension and retirement benefits while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. This is a Contract-to-continuing position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to employee well-being and organizational success.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately calculate and administer pension benefits for employees and retirees.
• Oversee the management of retiree health benefits, including Medicare coordination.
• Prepare detailed agendas and reports for monthly Pension Board meetings.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies.
• Provide counseling sessions for retirees and conduct workshops to educate employees about their benefits.
• Perform meticulous manual data entry and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address inquiries related to retirement and benefits.
• Analyze and interpret data to improve processes and ensure efficiency.
• Assist in developing strategies to enhance employee understanding of pension plans.
Requirements • Proven experience in managing benefit functions, including pensions and retirement plans.
• Strong knowledge of retirement benefits and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency in handling Medicare and retiree health benefits.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prepare detailed reports and agendas.
• Effective communication skills for conducting workshops and counseling sessions.
• High attention to detail for accurate data entry and recordkeeping.
• Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights.
