Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a Benefits Manager to join their Human Resources team. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for all benefit-related inquiries, ensuring a seamless benefits experience for employees throughout their tenure. The Benefits Manager will work closely with both employees and insurance providers to resolve issues, assist with claims, and clarify plan features.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance to employees and facilitate a smooth benefits experience throughout the employee lifecycle.Act as the primary liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve coverage issues, assist with claims, and clarify plan features.Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing support for employee enrollment, changes, and inquiries during onboarding and open enrollment periods.Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and various leave policies.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as HIPAA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).Evaluate current benefit offerings and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.Maintain accurate and current benefits records within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.Prepare reports and analyze benefits-related data, including utilization, costs, and trends, to support decision-making.Collaborate closely with payroll to ensure correct benefit deductions and contributions; support audits and manage compliance filings, including Form 5500.Provide support for HR functions including new hire onboarding, safety training, and incident/injury reporting.

Essential Skills

5+ years of Benefits Administration or Human Resources experience.Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA, ACA).Fluency in English and Spanish.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS platforms.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with ADP Workforce Now.Excellent communication skills with a wide variety of personalities.Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.Highly organized with strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large facility that includes shipping, receiving, machining departments, and an inventory warehouse. The Benefits Manager will work in an office setting, coordinating with every department in the company. The HR team is a tight-knit group, fostering a supportive and friendly culture. The company hosts employee events and encourages a business professional dress code, with the option to wear jeans and a polo or T-shirt on certain days. Working hours are typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential adjustments based on specific situations. The role is office-based, with no immediate plans for remote work. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
