Job Description:

Allied Universal® is hiring a Benefits Analyst. The Benefits Analyst provides administrative support for Allied Universal’s Health & Welfare Benefit Programs, including the daily and annual implementation of employee benefit programs, pricing audits for loss prevention, special projects related to employee benefits, communications, and providing day-to-day support.

This is an in-office role located at our Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, CALooking for candidates with financial acumen to support accurate billing, pricing audits, and strategic benefits analysisThe ideal candidate is a naturally curious and detail-oriented problem solver—someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions, dig into data, and uncover discrepancies through internal auditing and benefits analysisMust have strong Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MATCH, and conditional formatting

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer and track daily job setup and update requests related to employee benefit setup and pricing for group health and welfare plansSupport technical setup and configuration of Allied Universal’s benefits programs during annual Open Enrollment, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and flexible spending accountsPerform billing and reconciliation of benefit carriers, requiring advanced Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MATCH, conditional formatting) and strong analytical capabilities to identify and resolve discrepanciesMonitor and resolve billing and pricing issues to ensure accurate contributions setup for both clients and the companyAct as a subject matter expert and main point of contact for complex or escalated benefits pricing inquiries while delivering exceptional customer serviceEducate and train field operators on AUS benefits processes and assist in maintaining accurate benefits-related documentation and proceduresCollaborate across departments to ensure effective communication, including reporting monthly imputed income for Domestic Partner benefits to the Payroll Tax DepartmentAssist with special projects and other duties assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess one or more of the following:Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field with 1 year of analytical and relevant experience in a fast-paced environmentAssociate’s degree in business, Human Resources, or related field with 3 years of analytical and relevant experience in a fast-paced environmentHigh School diploma with 5 years of analytical and relevant experience in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced proficiency in MS Office products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook), and Internet and website navigation requiredSafeguard strictly confidential sensitive information; exhibit a high degree of ethics, professionalism, and service orientation in all activities and interactions with internal and external individualsMust be a proactive problem solver, with above-average attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated ability to support requests from multiple individuals, effectively prioritizing tasks to ensure all activities are accomplished within established deadlinesA highly motivated and flexible individual who performs with limited instruction, supervision, and/or discernmentOutstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team playerProvide analytical and technical support in the delivery of benefit administrationProfessional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certifications in Business Administration, Benefits, and/or Microsoft Excel

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay: $24.00-$27.80 per hourMedical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, retirement plan, and disability insuranceEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
