Benefits and Leave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator
Description Client is hiring for Benefits and Leave of Absence (LOA) Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating approximately 40 active LOA cases across various leave types. While a third-party vendor handles much of the administrative processing, the ideal candidate will act as the internal point of contact for all LOA-related matters—ensuring timely communication, compliance, and support for employees and managers. Key Responsibilities: + Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee leave of absence inquiries, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and personal leaves. + Coordinate with third-party leave administrator to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and legal compliance in LOA administration. + Track and manage approximately 40 active LOA cases at any given time using internal systems and reporting tools. + Liaise with managers to communicate leave status, return-to-work dates, and any modified duty or accommodation needs. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws and internal company policies. + Provide guidance to employees on benefits continuation during leaves. + Assist in annual open enrollment and general benefits administration as needed. + Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of sensitive employee information. + Support audits and reporting needs related to benefits and LOA programs. Requirements + 3+ years of HR experience with a focus on LOA coordination and benefits administration. + In-depth knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, PDL, and other relevant leave laws. + Experience working with third-party administrators for LOA management. + Excellent organizational and case management skills with high attention to detail. + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately. + Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Excel/Word.
