As a Benefits & Eligibility Representative, you'll verify insurance and guarantor information, manage pre-authorization processes, and support clients in securing critical funding like Medicaid. You’ll be the go-to person for helping clients understand their financial coverage, and you’ll collaborate with multiple departments to ensure smooth operations and accurate records. Your attention to detail and excellent communication will make a real impact on the quality of care and support our clients receive.

Key Responsibilities:
· Verify and maintain accurate insurance and guarantor information within the Electronic Health Record system
· Communicate benefit information clearly and professionally to clients
· Assist clients in identifying and obtaining available funding sources, including Medicaid
· Collaborate across departments to answer eligibility, benefit, or cost-sharing questions
· Stay informed about changing funding options and insurance requirements
· Ensure compliance with HIPAA in all work-related activities
· Follow all departmental policies and procedures
· Contribute to department goals by supporting performance and efficiency initiatives
· Participate in team huddles and share feedback as needed
· Submit timecards accurately and report any corrections promptly
· Support safety procedures by completing training and reporting concerns
· Assist with department projects by meeting deadlines and reporting updates

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Prior experience with insurance verification preferred
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel preferred

Additional Qualifications:
· Must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
· Must successfully complete a background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check

Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during the work shift.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
