Job Title: Benefits AdministratorJob Description

We are seeking a personable, strategic, and detail-oriented Benefits Administrator to join our HR team. This role is primarily responsible for the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and wellness programs. The ideal candidate will be the go-to resource for employees navigating their benefits, while also playing a key role in shaping and improving our offerings through collaboration with leadership.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary point of contact for all employee benefits inquiries, providing clear and comprehensive guidance.Administer and manage all aspects of benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).Support a self-insured healthcare plan and coordinate with vendors.Collaborate with the Payroll & Benefits Supervisor to ensure accurate benefits enrollment, changes, and deductions.Provide strategic input to executive leadership on plan design and enhancements based on employee feedback and industry trends.Lead the development and expansion of wellness initiatives and employee resource programs.Conduct benefits orientations and assist with open enrollment processes.Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations related to benefits administration.Support broader HR initiatives as needed, particularly those related to employee engagement and retention.
Essential SkillsDirect benefits experience, rather than facilitating benefits through a third-party agency.Personal and engaged with the internal client experience.HR Generalist experience, payroll, insurance, and administrative support.Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering a positive employee experience.Ability to communicate benefits information clearly and empathetically.Strategic mindset with the ability to provide thoughtful recommendations to leadership.
Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in an HR Generalist or similar role is a plus.Familiarity with self-insured healthcare plans and diversified employee populations.
Work Environment

This position is based in an office setting with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role requires an in-person presence for the first six months, with the possibility of working remotely up to two days per week thereafter.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of East Hartford, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $65000.00/yr.
