Job Description
The Benefits Administrator plays a key role in managing employee health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs. Acting as a subject matter expert, the administrator oversees daily operations, vendor partnerships, regulatory adherence, and employee support related to benefits and leave.
Core Responsibilities
Benefits Administration: -Oversee medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, and retirement plans to ensure smooth operations and regulatory compliance.
Leave Coordination:
-Manage leave programs (e.g., FMLA, WAPFML, OFLA, PLO), maintain documentation, ensure legal compliance, and collaborate with HR partners on complex cases.
Vendor Relations:
-Serve as the primary contact for benefit providers, brokers, and TPAs. Monitor contracts, analyze usage and cost data, and uphold service standards in coordination with leadership
Employee Support:
-Provide guidance on benefit-related inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain internal communication tools and resources.
Annual Enrollment:
-Lead open enrollment efforts including planning, vendor coordination, employee education, and system updates.
Retirement Plan Oversight:
-Administer the 401(k) plan, manage audits, and ensure timely reporting and contributions.
Regulatory Compliance:
-Ensure adherence to benefit laws such as COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and ACA.
Data & Billing Accuracy: -Maintain benefit records in HR systems and vendor platforms. -Conduct audits and manage invoice reconciliation and payments.
Process Improvement:
-Identify and recommend enhancements to benefit programs and employee experience based on feedback and market trends.
Policy Development:
-Support the creation and interpretation of HR and benefits policies to ensure clarity and compliance.
-Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate plan documents, summaries, vendor files, and employee records per legal and internal standards.
Additional Projects:
-Contribute to HR initiatives that support the companys people strategy and broader business goals.

Skills and Requirements
-Bachelors degree or equivalent blend of education and relevant experience
-At least 3 years managing employee benefits administration
-Solid command of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (intermediate skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and basic data analysis)
-Familiarity with core benefit laws and programs such as HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, OFLA, PLO, WPL, ERISA, 401(k), and disability-related policies null
