Benefits Administrator
Description We are looking for a skilled Benefits Administrator with expertise in Defined Benefit Pension plans to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Spokane, Washington, and requires someone who can quickly step into a leadership position while effectively managing a small team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of DB Pension processes, anomalies, and calculations, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and oversee Defined Benefit Pension contributions, ensuring accurate data management and compliance. • Perform detailed pension calculations to maintain consistency and meet regulatory standards. • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to pension plans. • Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored solutions and maintain positive relationships. • Lead and manage a team of 2-3 members, fostering a productive and supportive work environment. • Utilize Office 365 tools to streamline administrative tasks and enhance efficiency. • Support teamwork initiatives by sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues with pension-related processes. • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations governing pension plans. • Prepare reports and documentation to support decision-making and organizational planning. Requirements • Proven experience with Defined Benefit Pension plans, including contributions and calculations. • Leadership capabilities, with prior experience managing small teams preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, particularly Excel. • Strong customer service skills and the ability to maintain client relationships. • Familiarity with COBRA administration processes. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. • Knowledge of pension plan regulations and compliance standards.
