Benchmarking Manager

**Description**
The Category Benchmarking Manager is responsible for managing a team of benchmarking analysts and working directly with the Director of Sourcing Revenue and other members in Category Management to review complex market cost benchmarking tools.
This is an onsite role that can sit at any of our HUB locations. It will be day shift with some flexibility to work from home one or two days per month.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Lead team of analysts to better utilize data to identify opportunities for profit growth and margin retention.
+ Develop required workflow needed as it relates to benchmarking tools that can be utilized consistently as a dashboard with the category management group.
+ Identify and initiate projects, driving the resolution of issues, and holding self and team accountable for results.
+ Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis at a complex level focusing on quality improvement and data management ensuring data is reliable and valid
+ Provide insights, recommend priority actions and quickly respond within a rapidly changing environment.
+ Design and implement standard tools and cadence for reporting out of information and tracking results.
+ Collaborate with General Manager on process enhancements for benchmark reporting for each category in the Distribution Division.
+ Maintain high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Lead through influence in a matrixed organizational structure with both direct and indirect reporting relationships
+ Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects and systems.
+ Conduct benchmarking activities to compare processes with industry best practices.
+ Be an agent for change, demonstrate the ability to manage the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environment.
+ Proactively develop a world-class sales force through recruiting, selecting, and growing exceptional sales talent, managing / coaching employee performance, motivating, and holding employees accountable.
+ Facilitate leadership development within team, identify and foster future leaders to support business succession plans.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is preferred
+ Minimum of 4 years of data analytics or financial reporting/forecasting
+ Grocery, foodservice, and distribution experience is preferred
+ Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new applications
+ Proficiency with data visualization software, Power Bi
+ Highest standards for accuracy and precision
+ Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives autonomously
+ Ability to communicate with leadership and stakeholders through written communication skills, interpersonal skills and presentations
+ Demonstrated tenacity and urgency in driving business results
+ Ability to strategize and adjust quickly to fluid business needs and growth challenges
+ Flexibility to occasional travel throughout the continental U.S.
