Together, we break through – as a Bench Scientist I/ II (all genders) (temporary until November 2026 / full-time)
The position is located within the Neuroscience Discovery organization at Ludwigshafen. You as a neuroscientist will make great contributions to the execution of new therapeutic approaches to neurological and psychiatric diseases in a collaborative environment.
The main responsibility for this role will be to contribute to the design, implementation, quantitative bioanalysis, and documentation of pharmacology experiments conducted both in vivo and ex vivo.
Make your mark:
Under supervision, establish, organize, and execute pharmacological in vivo studies.Administer doses to rodents through various routes, collecting blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples, performing perfusions, and dissecting specific brain regions.Independently manage and synchronize your experiments and work packages with those of other team members to ensure a cohesive project progression.Bring in your expertise in analytical assays, including histology and techniques in biochemistry or molecular biology, such as ELISA ligand binding assays or quantitative PCR (qPCR).
Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent educational background in Biology or a related field, with a strong focus on Neuroscience.Ability to work effectively with rodents with a proof of competence in laboratory animal science, such as FELASA Function A certificate or equivalent.Strong team collaboration and communication skills are essential.Great organizational abilities coupled with the capacity to work independently.A willingness to work occasional overtime and during weekends when necessary.Language proficiency in English and basic skills in German is favourable.What we offer you:
