Behaviour & Training Manager (12-month FTC)

Job Description:

This will be a 12-month assignment with full-time on-site work format.

What are we looking for?

A BSc in animal welfare, animal behaviour, or animal husbandry, or equivalent experience in a research environment, is essential.

Educated to a minimum A level (or equivalent, including a biological science), or possessing equivalent experience in a research or animal-centred environment, is essential

Leadership Experience – Proven experience in people management and building high-performing teams.

Strong Collaboration Skills – Ability to work cross-functionally within a research and scientific environment.

Practical experience of developing and implementing behaviour modification/management programmes for cats and dogs is desirable.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Lead & Develop the Team – Line manage a team of up to 20 associates, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development.

Drive Operational Excellence – Oversee daily operations, prioritising resources effectively while maintaining a strong focus on animal welfare, behaviour and training.

Foster Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance animal behaviour, welfare, and animal training methodologies.

Ensure Safety & Compliance – Promote a culture of safety and well-being, managing risk assessments and upholding best practices.
