Arc of Onondaga is looking for a determined professional to fill the position of Behavioral Intervention Specialist within our Clinic Department.\n
\n
In this role, you will develop and implement Behavior Support Plans for individuals receiving services at Arc of Onondaga. The Behavior Support Specialist will have comprehensive understanding of all regulations and requirements related to Behavior Support Plans, human rights and restrictive\/intrusive supports. As the Behavior Support Specialist, you will also contribute as a member of the program planning team and will work to ensure appropriate and necessary psychological services for people we support. \n

Requirements:\n\nThe education, experience and\/or certification necessary to be considered a Behavioral Intervention Specialist through OPWDD Regulation for either a Level 1 or Level 2 BIS. \nMaster's Degree in a clinical and\/or treatment field of psychology and have had documented training in assessment techniques and behavioral support plan development\nAt least three (3) years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, including the devising, implementation and monitoring of behavioral support plans and\/or providing supervision and training to others in the implementation of behavior support plans.\nAnd\/or a combined education, experience (including specialized training) and\/or certification that satisfies the requirements set forth by OPWDD. \nA valid New York State driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier\n\n
