In this role, you will provide direct and supportive care to clients by assisting with daily routines, monitoring health and behaviors, facilitating group activities, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment. You’ll play an active role in treatment teams, help manage medications, and document client progress—all while being a critical part of someone’s recovery process. Whether helping with admissions, leading group education, or providing transportation, you’ll be making an impact every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:
· Provide hands-on care and support to clients, including assisting with daily living activities and monitoring well-being
· Facilitate group education sessions, structured activities, and support programming
· Observe, document, and report client behavior, progress, and concerns to the treatment team
· Assist with client admissions, discharges, and transitions, including safety checks and vital sign monitoring
· Supervise medication self-administration and maintain accurate medication records according to policy
· Provide transportation for clients to appointments or community activities as needed
· Encourage clients to follow program expectations using trauma-informed approaches
· Collaborate with treatment teams to support individualized client care plans
· Maintain a clean and safe environment by following good housekeeping standards and safety procedures
· Respond appropriately to crisis situations and escalate medical needs when necessary

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Two (2) years of responsible employment
· Experience in human services or a related field preferred
· For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor's Degree or MAADC I or II
· For Residential Care Facility (RCF): Must become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first 90 days in the role
· Exceptions to the qualifications listed may be made by the appropriate Executive Team member

Additional Qualifications:
· Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle
· Must be at least 23 years of age to operate a 15-passenger company vehicle
· Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
· First Aid certification within three (3) months of employment and upon renewal
· Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of employment and upon renewal
· Must successfully complete background check including criminal record, driving record, and fingerprint clearance
· Must complete Behavioral Management training (CPI) within 30 days of employment
· Basic keyboarding skills and ability to enter notes into an electronic medical record
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle crisis situations professionally
· For Illinois and Kansas Residential staff: Must provide evidence of being free of infectious/contagious diseases (e.g., TB) before hire and annually
· For Adolescent Program only: Must complete specialized adolescent and family training within six (6) months of hire

Physical Requirements:
· Sedentary work: Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force; involves mostly sitting with occasional walking or standing
· Frequent use of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and writing
· Must be able to perform standard housekeeping duties and navigate within a treatment facility
