Position Purpose:
Mercy Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Coordinator to lead our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Adult Behavioral Health teams. This role is essential to advancing our integrated care model and ensuring compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services for underserved and special needs populations.
What You Will Do:
Oversee and support a multidisciplinary behavioral health team including mental health professionals, substance abuse counselors, case managers, and peer support specialists.
Provide direct integrated behavioral health services to adult and geriatric patients, with occasional care for children and adolescents.
Collaborate with community organizations to develop and utilize external resources for patient support.
Manage program budgets and ensure timely, accurate reporting of program activities.
Participate in community outreach events and health fairs 3–4 times annually.
Contribute to the strategic planning and implementation of behavioral health initiatives across Mercy Care clinics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Human Services or related field.
Active Georgia licensure as LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health recovery services, including 1 year in a supervisory role and 1 year working with disadvantaged populations.
Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in integrated care settings.
Familiarity with the Primary Care–Behavioral Health integration model preferred.
Valid Georgia driver’s license may be required.
