Additional Information About the Role Behavioral Health Access & System Integration Director This Director will oversee a team of 150-175 FTE's and manage the Behavioral Health Integration Services Line and System Programs for Behavioral Health. Overview BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Directs the leaders of daily clinical activities in the Behavioral Health Services to promote high quality and evidence based care for the clients in our community. Responsible for >300 FTEs either through direct or indirect supervision. Responsible for program development and sustainment across the service delivery area. Establishes standards and processes to comply with contracts, both federal and state grants, and maintains contracts as a DMH administrative agent. Responsible for overseeing the DMH allocation of >$20 million and developing programs that will be reflective of the mission to utilize the money awarded. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Directs the delivery of safe and appropriate care by evidence based practice and quality outcomes. Ensures team compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. Supports and assists the growth of existing and new businesses/programs.
