Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technicians (BTs) to support students with special needs across elementary through junior high school settings. In this role, the BT works alongside teachers, school staff, and behavioral specialists to support educational, developmental, and behavioral goals for students with diverse needs.
This is a day-to-day substitute role, with ANY availability accepted—from one day a week to full-time interest. We also receive full-time BT openings throughout the year, so candidates open to long-term opportunities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
+ Support students with special needs in achieving academic, social, and behavioral goals.
+ Implement behavior intervention strategies under the direction of school professionals and behavioral specialists.
+ Assist with data collection, documentation, and reinforcement strategies.
+ Provide behavioral support within classrooms, small groups, or one-on-one settings.
+ Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support teams to meet student needs.
+ Adapt to varying classroom environments as part of the substitute BT pool.
Position Details
+ Pay: $25/hour
+ Availability: Any availability accepted (minimum 1 day/week)
+ Age Groups: Elementary through Jr. High
+ Schedule: Hours and shifts vary based on school needs
+ Credential Requirement:
+ Para test, AA degree, or 48 units of college credit required
+ School Assignments: Day-to-day coverage, with potential for full-time roles during the school year
Minimum Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Two (2) years of pediatric experience preferred
+ Current CPR (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if required)
+ Meets all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years old
