Position Overview As a Behavior Technician, you will provide educational and behavioral support to children and adults with special needs. You’ll collaborate with school professionals and behavioral specialists to help clients achieve learning and behavioral goals. Essential Responsibilities + Follow instructions from BCBA/program supervisor/teacher + Provide behavior assistance and interventions to assigned clients + Implement ABA teaching strategies and behavior intervention plans + Support behavioral goals outlined in IEPs + Document sessions accurately per policy + Collect data efficiently and maintain confidentiality + Assist with self-care activities (e.g., toileting, hygiene) + Implement behavior management techniques under supervision + Perform other duties as assigned + Assignments may include 1:1 or classroom settings Minimum Requirements + High School diploma or equivalent + At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred + Current CPR/BLS (if applicable) + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Computer proficiency required + Must be 18 years or older Benefits At Amergis Healthcare Services, our caregivers are the heartbeat of our organization.
