FLSA: Non-Exempt 

Hours Worked:Female Panel Times are typically Mon-Wed (APDO- 9-11AM, Personal/Skin Care 12-2PM and 4-6PM and Hair Care Wed-Fri 9-12.Male Panel Times are Mon-Wed (APDO/Personal Care- 4-6PM).However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.

Position Summary:

 

The purpose of the sensory panelist role is to provide evaluations of products and product performance based on what people perceive, using people trained to assess specific attributes using specified technical test methods. Sensory research is a scientific discipline used to measure, model, and interpret characteristics of products and materials as they are perceived and integrated by the senses of sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide objective feedback on the products or items being evaluated.  Participate in evaluations on-site which also may include take-home research. Become trained and qualified on sensory study protocols and attributes prior to participating in research according to typical consumer usage instructions. Articulate product usage experience for qualitative understanding of product attributes. Record data points and product ratings on questionnaires using computers and iPads. Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the company Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures. Comply with company management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies. Follows the guidelines set forth in by clients and the company Quality Manual and Safety / Chemical Hygiene Plan. Other duties as defined by Manager, department needs and workload.

 

Skills & Proficiencies:

 

Proficient with reviewing study requirements and recording data Familiar with working on a computer or iPad Ability to use and evalaute beauty products for studies  Adheres to Company Values

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
