Job Summary:
Procter & Gamble Beauty Care Global Product Stewardship is seeking a Regulatory Toxicologist to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure the safety and regulatory compliance of our Beauty Care products across multiple global markets. By leveraging your expertise in toxicology and regulatory science, you will contribute to the development and assessment of safe, sustainable and compliant products for consumers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute toxicological risk assessments for new and existing ingredients and finished products, ensuring compliance with global regulatory frameworks and internal safety standards.
Manage and interpret complex scientific data related to product safety, ensuring robust data stewardship and integrity within regulatory submissions.
Responsible for delivering required elements for regulatory compliance. Develop and implement regulatory strategy to support new initiatives or protect current business/formulations in the market.
Act as a subject matter expert in regulated processes, providing guidance and support to R&D, legal, and business teams on toxicology-related matters.
Proactively identify and manage potential safety issues, developing and implementing strategies for issue resolution and risk mitigation.
Drive change management initiatives related to evolving regulatory landscapes and internal safety guidelines, ensuring seamless adoption across relevant departments.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry associations, and scientific experts, to advance P&G's safety and sustainability agenda.
Develop and deliver training programs on safety standards and regulatory compliance to various internal audiences.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher with 4-5 years work experience in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
Preference given to candidates with experience in the consumer product industry.
Demonstrated experience or familiarity in regulatory toxicology, with a strong understanding of global chemical regulations (e.g., TSCA, REACH, GHS).
Strong track record in Issue Management, including identifying, assessing, and resolving complex safety and/or regulatory concerns.
In-depth knowledge of Regulated Processes within consumer goods or a similar industry.
Thorough understanding and application of safety assessment approaches relevant to consumer products.
Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific information to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
Experience developing and implementing digital/AI solutions within the company or beyond.
