In this role, Beach Patrolling Officer shall perform all post duties and assignments strictly according to the directions and supervision of the Shift Security Service Leader (Supervisor), maintain the highest levels of security, safety and guest service standards throughout the tour of duty for all guests, patrons, visitors and team members in accordance with established Resort policies.

\n

\n

What will I be doing? 

\n

As the Beach Patrolling Officer, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n

 

\n

Profitability

\n

 ·         Develops an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads its execution

\n

·         Facilitates the preparation of hotel budgets and forecasts for corporate submission and approvals

\n

·         Ensures capital expenditure funds are being used to address the priorities outlined in the service strategy.

\n

·         Ensures accurate forecasting, predicting potential highs and lows in business and initiate necessary changes, analyses variances and initiate appropriate action plans

\n

 Beach Patrolling Officer Operation

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

·      To fully support the Company’s values and culture to ensure guest satisfaction.

\n

·      To be fully familiar with the Conrad Brand Standards and the Quality Assurance Audit and to follow these standards of service at all times.

\n

·      To keep up-to-date with the SALT results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the Conrad Brand Standards.

\n

·      To maintain a high guest service focus by approaching your job with the guests always in mind and being proactive in a timely manner towards their needs and requests.

\n

·      To have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both guests and colleagues.

\n

·      To actively promote the services and facilities of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island and the Conrad Hotels and Resorts to guests and suppliers of the Resort.

\n

·      To maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene at all times by adhering to the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Grooming Standards.

\n

·      To report to duty punctually and consistently.

\n

·      To have a complete understanding of and adhere to the resort’s policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety and take necessary action when required.

\n

·      To provide guests with friendly, efficient, accurate and polite service at all times.

\n

·      To be flexible, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.

\n

·      To takes direction from and carry out any requests by management in conjunction with work.

\n

·      Maintaining the discipline and grooming standards required by resort.

\n

·      Being punctual and respecting the uniform.

\n

·      Maintaining physical fitness.

\n

·      Patrolling and looking movements of guest on assign location.

\n

·      Maintaining logs and reports daily.

\n

·      Assisting guest or Team members who are doing snorkeling and swimming on their request.

\n

·      Assisting guest on their needs.

\n

·      Doing daily inspection of all rescue equipment and first aid kits.

\n

·      Cleaning and maintaining the rescue boat at least every three days.

\n

·       Helping security team on emergencies like firefighting and lost person cases.

\n

 Shift Duties

\n

·   Follow the approved monthly duty roster schedule.

\n

·   Attend pre-shift briefings 5 minutes prior to shift commencement.

\n

·   Follow the instructions of the Shift Supervisor in an efficient and effective manner in order to meet planned and reasonably foreseeable unplanned daily operational demands.

\n

·   Take refreshment breaks (meals etc) under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor and according to operational standards.

\n

·   Request assistance from the Shift Supervisor according to operational demands and changes in

\n

·   Situations and circumstances.

\n

·   Immediately inform the Security Supervisor of any security or safety occurrences (e.g. incidents and accidents).

\n

 Security Assessment

\n

·   Monitor the Hotel environment throughout the shift and identify any security and / or safety risks that become apparent. Report all risks to the Shift Supervisor.

\n

 Operational Matters

\n

·   Ensure that all occurrences, incidents and accidents are fully recorded in issued pocket notebooks

\n

·   Inform the SSM of any changes in personal particulars (e.g. change of address; mobile telephone numbers etc).

\n

 Security Department Training and Coaching

\n

·      Attend all pre-organized Departmental training sessions promptly.

\n

·      Record each attendance by signing attendance register at the completion of each session.

\n

·      Conduct any required private studying in preparation of test questions.

\n

·      Obtain or exceed minimum test performance standards.

\n

·      Justify shortfalls in test performance.

\n

 Fire Safety

\n

·   Familiarize with all common fire hazards and fire precautions.

\n

·   Conduct routine fire safety hazard patrols of the Resort: e.g. Obstructions in all the firefighting agents and fire exits; fire doors propped open etc.

\n

·   Alert Shift Supervisor of any fire hazards / risks without delay.

\n

 Maintenance of Order

\n

·   Maintain constant awareness and vigilance of potential crime occurrences within the Resort throughout the shift.

\n

·   Immediately inform the Shift Security Supervisor of any abnormalities, suspicious situations / person(s) and/or signs of developing disorder.

\n

 Compliment the Resort’s Guest Service efforts in delivering superior service to all guests, patrons and visitors.

\n

 ·   Consistent proactive delivery of guest service in all elements of the security operation.

\n

·   Handle guest queries efficiently and effectively to maintain high guest satisfaction.

\n

·   Immediately inform a Supervisor of any guest complaints relating to Security or safety.

\n

·   Enhance guest satisfaction through personal contact with guests, cultivating and developing excellent guest relations.

\n

·   Proactively carry out direct Guest Service activities such as greetings, luggage assisting, escorting guests to outlets etc.

\n

  Operations

\n\n To keep up-to-date with the SALT (Satisfaction and Loyalty Tracking) results and to seek to positively influence these results by following the CONRAD Brand Standards.\nConstantly strive to increase guest satisfaction through quality, creativity, range and value for money throughout the Resort in all facilities & services.\n  Develops and implements property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment.\n   Champions the brand’s service vision for product and service delivery and ensuring alignment amongst the property leadership team.\n   Identifies and analyses operational challenges and facilitates the development of solutions to prevent reoccurrence.\n Ensure team member feedback is followed up, dealt with appropriately, and shared with the team regularly.\n Ensure appropriate actions are executed to support any improvements resulting from Safety, QA audits or Area Support Team input\n         Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and achieve Health and Safety targets and shares best practice across the organization\n\n
