Volunteer Description:

We're seeking volunteers to support our Emergency Department on weekends. This non-clinical role offers hands-on exposure to a fast-paced hospital environment - ideal for pre-med or healthcare-focused students. Volunteers assist patients and staff by greeting visitors, providing comfort items, restocking supplies, and helping with basic tasks. It's a great opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop professional skills, and make a meaningful impact.

Our ED volunteers play a vital non-clinical role in helping the Emergency Department run smoothly and compassionately. This is a great opportunity to learn about emergency care, improve communication skills, and contribute to patient comfort during critical moments.

Responsibilities:

- Provide comfort items to patients as directed by staff.

- Restock supplies in patient care areas.

- Run errands and assist nursing staff as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized environment.

- Offer emotional support and a calm presence to patients and families.

Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years old.

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

-Able to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.

- Must complete hospital orientation and volunteer training.

- Must complete a background check.

- Reliable and committed to 3-hour schedule shifts.
