Position Description

Develop relationships with academia and industry to achieve sales objectives by identifying customer needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Understand the major drivers and limitations of the market in the relevant territoryDevelop and maintain KOL relationships for which a strong scientific background is neededGrow overall revenue from our services and kitsMap key accountsManage existing and new biomarker discovery projects within these accountsDeliver technical presentations to prospective clients exploring protein biomarker discoveryPresent our applications and real-life examples to potential customers confidentlyProvide study build mentorship in collaboration with the Field Application Scientist team to ensure client happinessBring creative solutions to clients and understand the value drivers within their organizationsMaintain updated customer and opportunity information in SalesforceMaintain knowledge of competitive products and technologiesWork closely with Sales peers, Project Coordinators, FAS, Data Scientists, and the wider organization to improve commercial success

Work Experience

5-10 years relevant sales experienceBSc, MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in Biology or related scientific fieldProven track record of performance in a customer-facing roleA relevant network of contacts within territoryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and desire to succeedMust be upbeat, enthusiastic, and highly motivatedAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasksAble to meet or exceed revenue targetsAbility to work well in a team environmentStrong deal sheet with demonstrated ability to “close” businessOpen to learning from more experienced team membersWilling to teach team members and share relevant experiencesTechnical experience with proteomics or biomarker discovery is a plus
