What You'll Do
We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion to join BCG X as Portfolio Strategy & PA Commercial Activation Manager located in London.
The BCG X Portfolio Strategy & Practice Area Commercial Activation team plays a critical role in shaping a differentiated portfolio of digital & AI offerings and driving X business in strong partnership with all BCG Practice Areas to help accelerate BCG's commercial agenda. Your objective will be to lead activities/projects that will accelerate business growth across a subset of our BCG Industry and Functional Practice Areas, and to focus our investments on the most critical digital & AI solutions that we develop, build, and sell to clients. The role requires strong analytical ownership, including independently structuring analyses, slicing and interpreting large and complex data sets, deriving clear insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations and a compelling “so what” for senior leadership. You will combine strategic analysis with hands-on execution to translate portfolio priorities into measurable commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities include the following for a subset of IPAs and/or FPAs:
Provide support to Portfolio Strategy & PA Commercial Activation Director in driving PA Activation for specific PA's including Technology & Digital Advantage (TDA) this will entail helping to shape the right portfolio of digital & AI offers and unlocking Go-to-Market across sectors/functional topics/regions, supporting leadership meetings, preparing business reporting, running ad-hoc analysis, and providing programmatic support to drive PA Activation priorities.Provide support to Portfolio Strategy & PA Commercial Activation Director across all areas of Product/Portfolio Governance and Management including content development for LT and Committees such as Product Investment Committee, tracking action items and progress against these, project management of improved processes as needed.Collaborate with PA Activation team and Finance to analyse and report on our Commercial portfolio performance, including assessments of ring-fenced teams, profitability of offers and business context driving portfolio performance.Shape portfolio strategy, support investment prioritization decisions, and drive focus on the offerings with the highest strategic and commercial impact, grounded in rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis and fact-based insights.Independently drive deep-dive analyses across portfolio, commercial, and performance topics by structuring ambiguous problems, slicing and dicing large data sets, synthesizing insights, and clearly articulating implications and recommendations for decision-making.Partner directly with the Gen AI team to develop and implement strategies for enabling and activating offers across PA's that support X acceleration of Gen AI offers, including being embedded into Gen AI go to market team.Empower PA Activation team with content, education and support on offer excellence and how to drive engagement with PA's and X PA Nodes to support commercial offer development that will drive X revenue.Collaborate with Go-to-Market team to support the right client narratives and marketing materials across the portfolio.Own selected portfolio and commercial activation initiatives end-to-end and act as a thought partner to BCG X and Practice Area leadership on strategic and commercial priorities.This role offers the opportunity to work on core strategic topics for both BCG & BCG X to support continued growth of the firm:

Bachelor’s or Master's Degree or equivalent in business, finance, or related field3-5+ years of work experience in strategy consulting for a top tier firm, ideally as an Associate/Senior Associate/Consultant or as Knowledge Team Managers or topic /offer Managers at BCG (or equivalent)Ability to work effectively in a global environment with people at all organizational levelsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong communication, networking, and teaming skills, with ability to manage and influence a variety of senior stakeholdersProactive, highly organized and pragmatic – must be able to smartly manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams on a consistent basisStrong PowerPoint, Excel, and presentations skillsStrong analytical skillset with the ability to work independently with large data sets, build robust analyses, and draw insight-driven conclusions in ambiguous environmentsGood to have interest in technology, digital, data science, product management topicsKnowledge of BCG industry/functional Practice Areas and/or software/data products helpfulWho You'll Work With
You will work with BCG X Global Leadership Team, BCG X & BCG Industry & Functional Practice Area leads, BCG X & Practice Area Product/Offering leaders, BCG X Finance (Product and Commercial) as well as other BCG X & BCG functional teams (Marketing, Business Management & Staffing, IP/legal, etc.).
