What You'll Do

We are seeking a strong candidate with experience and passion to join BCG X as X EMESA Staffing Manager located in one of our X Hubs in EMESA.
As a member of the Talent team in BCG X, you will primarily be responsible for the professional development of the BCG X Engineering, Product and Design staff based in EMESA. This role includes managing the staffing of individuals in their career developmental needs, managing both short-term and long-term priorities, adapting to shifting business needs, and identify patterns across the cohort to help drive strategies. In this role, you will collaborate with local and global engineering managers, requesting managers, and the wider staffing team assigning talent to sold work and new business efforts. In addition, you will be a member of the larger BCG X talent team community in EMESA.

You will collaborate closely with the leadership team of BCG X in the EMESA region and interact with different divisions of the firm (finance, HR, Mobility, L&D, Recruiting) in a multicultural environment. You will report to the BCG X EMESA People & Business Management Senior Director.

Key responsibilities include:

Staffing Management

Responsible for optimizing the deployment of Software and Data Engineers, Experience Designers and Product Managers to meet our business needs while ensuring that each team member receives the right set of opportunities to support their immediate BCG X Career Development objectives and their overall long-term professional goalsOptimizes team design, billability, and achievement of business priorities through a deep awareness of business environment, current available skills, cases, leads/proposals, and office/firm goals; maintain a view of staffing pipeline at a macro and micro level (overall business outlook as well as specific staffing needs) Build strong relationships with client facing and product development teams and leadership to understand development needs, preferences and constraints for staffing; set and enforce staffing policies and expectations Maintain an acute awareness of the business environment and priorities; understand objectives of client/cases and openly communicate information relative to project opportunities with individuals while engaging with senior stakeholders and team leadership on staff portfolio Be the go-to-person for our people: Build strong relationships with BCG X talent to understand developmental needs and preferences for staffing; discuss upcoming projects; advise on staffing choices to achieve balance between business needs and personal preferences when possible; communicate staffing decisions and related rationale; set and enforce staffing policies and expectations Create visibility on current/planned resource allocation, considering diversity implications when staffing projects and teams holistically, ensuring fairness and equity with lens on people with different backgrounds and experiences Handle staffing process end-to-end and collaborate with a team of other staffers discussing decisions and finding overarching the best solution Ensure relevant tools and systems are maintained on a weekly basis providing visibility of people commitments such project assignments, training and time off requests. Participate in the ongoing improvement of our staffing processes and systems Collaborate with the local and regional L&D teams to anticipate the training schedule and availability of staff, as well as coordinate learning needs based on staff areas for development having business needs also in mind.

Collaboration with People & Development, Finance and BCG X HR Team

When required participate and provide inputs into Career Development Committee (CDC) meetings and reinforce CD messages through staffing and development discussions to support individual and chapter development Provide input to BCG X HR and relevant stakeholders on employee matters when required Collaborate with Finance and ensure that financial approvals are considered and cooperate with finance in ensuring correct financial allocation of assigned resources Work with Global and Line of Business People & Development stakeholders to provide career support and guidance around mobility programs including alignment with key stakeholders prior to approving mobility or other employee programs. Provide input to rest of staffing and HR team to maintain up to date accurate information on staff including project assignments, training, recruiting and time off(Pre) Onboarding Actively engage with new hires early in their BCG X experience Provide Recruiting and regional leadership with a view on demanded profiles and cohort needs Host onboarding sessions for all new joiners, ensuring a smooth transition into BCG Ensure new hire is set up for success by sharing relevant documentation, providing first staffing experience, helping create 1st level network and frequent check-ins in first month

Internship Program

Overview of the BCG X Internship programs Monitor Interns development and raise any red flags/worries Organize Career Development cycles and allocations

Other HR

Address questions related to HR topics before escalating to HR; work with HR team to resolve issues faced by individuals; contribute thought leadership on initiatives crucial to addressing People issues that can also Include compensation Provide analytic support and ownership over projects related to offices of focus and office people team, including but not limited to Annual PEOPLE\u00A0 Team Survey and Pyramid Planning Work closely with office people team to ensure information sharing, best practice codification, and efficient operations

What You'll Bring

University bachelor's degree 5+ years of HR management/Talent management/Business Partner Interest and basic knowledge of concepts in digital products development, Including software engineering, design, product management, etc. Fluency in English

Who You'll Work With

The Talent Manager will work in an EMESA BCG X Staffing Team and will collaborate with EMESA BCG staffing and finance team to monitor billability, timesheet accuracy and work closely with the HR and Recruiting teams on talent strategies. You will build relationships and work effectively with members of billable and BST talent, Global X staffers, CDC, and the X EMESA leadership team.
