Battery/Grounds Technician Position Requirements
This position is not limited to only these requirements but includes these functions and responsibilities. Watering and maintenance of deep cycle, industrial MHE batteries of a large logistics warehouse scale required. Operational understanding of deep cycle battery chargers on an industrial scale required. Organized and structured rotation of batteries in pallet jacks, standup, sit-down forklifts, scissor lifts, cherry picker, personal transport and inventory equipment required. Battery Maintenance logs and record keeping skills required. Operation of pallet jacks, single and doubles required. Electrical knowledge of different voltages, initial deep cycle charging balancing a plus. Battery electrical wiring replacement/repairs and power plug/connector replacement are daily requirements. Battery changing equipment, with industrial Craine/ hoist experience a plus. Understanding of MHE Industrial equipment a plus. Grounds. Organizational skills of large-scale shipping yard, cleaning, collection tools use and relocation of yard maintenance equipment, minor landscaping maintenance and pressure washing required.
The Pay rate is 24.34 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement but no less than the local minimum wage. Additional premiums for swing and grave shifts are available. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).
