We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Metal Purchasing Buyer to join our team in Liverpool. This key role ensures the seamless supply of critical materials for production, manages supplier relationships, and oversees purchasing operations to support our manufacturing excellence. Key Responsibilities
Supplier Portfolio Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of aluminium, copper, steel wires, nylon, and overseas materials.Negotiate contracts, manage non-conformances, and identify cost-saving opportunities.Maintain accurate price records and explore new supplier/material opportunities.Purchasing Operations, Compliance & Quality
Monitor and manage all open purchase orders to ensure timely supply.Resolve invoicing queries by verifying pricing and quantities, and adjusting POs as needed.Create and maintain SAP outline agreements, material codes, and master data records.Maintain supplier approval, audit, and evaluation systems.Manage documentation and contract registers, ensuring timely reviews and renewals.Metals Hedging & Supply Management
Implement and manage hedging procedures for metal procurement.Maintain auditable records and reconcile monthly hedge settlements.Provide hedge management support to regional affiliates.Ensure continuous supply of copper and aluminium feed rods.Coordinate monthly and annual requirements and manage supplier distribution.Reporting
Prepare monthly metal position reports, UPM, and Milan reports as required.Provide support during the absence of the Purchasing & Logistics Manager.Why Join Us?
