We are looking for a Multi skilled Engineer with industrial experience to be based in Tamworth.

This position maintains maintenance activities at UPS package handling facilities. He/She provides inspection, troubleshooting, adjusting, and replaces electrical equipment, mechanical components, and pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding equipment. This position performs preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment such as conveyors, bulk carts, and power industrial equipment. He/She performs other tasks as requested.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will cover a variety of shifts (morning, evening and night) and have a flexible approach to working hours. You will be responsible for Mechanical & Electrical trouble shooting, reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance of conveyor systems and additional ancillary equipment.

A logical approach to fault finding on conveyor belt systems, motor control circuits and single and 3 phase power supplies will be essential, together with carrying out and reporting on preventative maintenance procedures. Welding experience a benefit but not a necessity.

Applicant will also be responsible for building maintenance, which includes heating, electric and ventilation repairs.

Keen to accept responsibility, you must be willing to work a weekly rotating 3 shift pattern with flexibility on start and finish times as the job requires this could include call out cover.

An ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team is essential. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.

Qualifications:

Preferred Electrical qualifications requiredProgramming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, Motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshootingAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams
